# Introduction

**Flutter** is a responsive cross-platform mobile development [framework](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Framework) using the [Dart ](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dart_\(langage\))[4](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flutter_\(logiciel\)#cite_note-4) language. Flutter is an [open-source ](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source)[software development](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9veloppement_logiciel) kit created by Google. The first version of Flutter was known by the code name "Sky" and ran on the Android operating system. It was unveiled at the [2015](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015) Dart Developer Summit. Its [alpha version](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Version_alpha) initial was back in [May 2017](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mai_2017), so she's a lot younger than [React Native](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/React_Native). On [December 11, 2019](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9cembre_2019), Flutter 1.12 was released during the Flutter Interactive event.✨
